ABSTRACT

Multiple mycorrhizal infections are common in nature, both in nodulated and nonnodulated herbaceous and woody plant species. Woodlands and bulb fields contained more species than coal tips in Scotland or in the United States. In mixed inoculaGlomus clarum was a good fungal competitor whereasG. caledonium was not.
