ABSTRACT

The X-ray absorption K-spectra of high-dispersity supported Ni were studied as a function of the particle size. The particle size distribution was determined from the dependence of magnetic susceptibility on the magnetic field. Increasing dispersion eliminates the overlap of s, p and d wave functions, characteristic for bulk transition metals, when the particle size decreases to 20 Å. More... »
