ABSTRACT

Ribes aureum, R. sanguineum and their hybrid “R. Gordonianum” have almost indistinguishable complements in which the larger chromosomes are nearly twice the size of the smaller ones. The observation tyTischler of large and small bivalents at meiosis is therefore no indication of abnormal pairing in the hybrid.
