ABSTRACT

Crohn's disease of the duodenum is a relatively rare condition. It is observed in 0.5–4% of patients with Crohn's disease, and about 200 cases have been reported in world literature. Obstruction is the main indication for operation, and the most common procedure is gastrojejunostomy. Opinion is divided as to whether or not a vagotomy should be performed. We report a patient treated by gastrojejunostomy without vagotomy who developed a stomal ulcer within 8 weeks of operation. More... »
