ABSTRACT

ConclusionsThe strength of dies used for pressing carbide components will be adequate if the valuea=r2/r1=1.15. However, strength should not be the only criterion for design as this leads to poor quality of pressed components. Additional calculation of rigidity is essential.The rigidity of dies used for pressing carbide components will be adequate if the valuea=r2/r1=1.3.
