ABSTRACT

In this work the van der Waals one-fluid extended-corresponding-states theory mixing rules are modified so that the composition dependence of the second virial coefficient is theoretically correct, regardless of the mixing rules used to describe the remainder of thepVT surface. This modification leads to a substantial improvement in the prediction of the mixture phase equilibrium. Results and comparisons with the unmodified extended-corresponding-states theory and experimental data are presented. More... »
