ABSTRACT

Theg-factor of the 159 keV 3/2+ state of117Sn has been determined by the integral perturbed angular correlation (IPAC) method in an external magnetic field of 9.47 T. The result: g3/2+=+0.439(31) favours the interpretation as a rather pured 3/2 single neutron quasiparticle state.
