ABSTRACTIn 128 cases of soft tissue tumor that were treated between 1955 and 1977 the late results were investigated. The 5-year survival rate in stages 1 and 2 without adjuvant therapy was 64% (n = 25) and in stages 3 and 4 0% (n = 9); with adjuvant radiation, it was 71.4% (n = 14) in stages 1 and 2 and 28.5% (n = 14) in stages 3 and 4. In the case of adjuvant chemotherapy (Cyvadic-pattern), only the 3-year survival rate could be investigated. In this group the death rate was 9.9%, whereas 18.5% of the patients without chemotherapy died within this period. More... »
