AUTHORS ABSTRACTImmobilized α-chymotrypsin, noncovalently bound to polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), has been employed for synthesis of N-acetyl-L-tyrosinyl-L-glycine amide from N-acetyl-L-tyrosine and L-glycine amide in the homogenous system (water-ethanol), parallel to the use of the native enzyme. Native and immobilized enzymes showed the maximal yields of Ac-Tyr-Gly-NH2 of 35 % and 50 % respectively for a particular water concentration in a 24 h reaction at 30 °C. More... »
