ABSTRACT

ConclusionsThe methods of titration of the epoxide groups, calorimetry, and NMR spectroscopy were used to study the reaction rate of phenyl glycidyl ether with p-cresol. The order of the reaction in both PGE and sodium phenolate (concentration<0.2 M) is equal to one; the activation energy is equal to 18 kcal/mole; the heat effect is 18 kcal/mole. More... »
