ABSTRACTAn investigation was made of the polycondensation of N,N,N′,N′-tetraethyl-P-methylphosphonic diamide with the diamines 1,6-hexanediamine, ethylenediamine, and m- and p-phenylenediamines (transamidation). It was shown to be possible in principle to prepare polymers with the aid of the transamidation reaction. The polycondensation of N,N,N′,N′-tetraethyl-P-methylphosphonic diamide with P-phenylphosphonic diamide is accompanied by the side reaction of self-condensation of P-phenylphosphonic diamide.
