ABSTRACTThe properties of the beryllium-containing internal-complex polymer derived from bis-p-acetoacetylphenyl ether were investigated.The polymer is stable to heat: appreciable decomposition sets in only after long heating above 280°. The rate and extent of the degradation of the polymer at high temperatures are higher in air than in nitrogen. The internal-complex polymer undergoes no substantial change in properties as a result of heating for 3–4 h at 300–325°. After 2 h at 350°, the polymer acquires a three-dimensional structure.The action of various chemical reagents on the polymer was studied. More... »
