ABSTRACT

The solid-phase catalytic oxidation in the 2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylbenzyl alcohol-MnO2-NaOH system to yield 2-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylbenzaldehyde was carried out. Gaseous oxygen participates in the regeneration of the active form of the oxidant.
