ABSTRACT

It is demonstrated that an observed invariance of the maximum umbral magnetic field strength on spot size finds a theoretical explanation within the Abelian Higgs model whose Ginzburg-Landau parameter is\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document} $$K = 1/\sqrt 2 $$ \end{document}.
