ABSTRACT

An experimental investigation was carried out on trisubstituted 4PyPO with the goal of explaining the effect of substitution and the medium on the spectral luminescent properties of organic molecules. Spectra were obtained at room temperature and 77 K. It was shown that a possible reason for the anomalously large shift in a polar medium is the formation of TICT-type conformations; the efficiency and nature of ion formation are determined by the electron-donor ability of the substituent. The appearance of solvation anomalies in the ground state of aqueous solutions of 4PyPON(CH3)2 are discussed, with possible causes considered. More... »
