AUTHORS ABSTRACTLavine's formula gives a connection between time-delay and potential in scattering theory. A proof is given for potentials V=V1+V2, |1(x)|+|x·VV1(x)|≤c(1+|x|)−1−∈, V2(x)=O(|x|−2−e) as |x|→∞, using the stationary method. A new stationary representation for the time-delay operator is found.
