ABSTRACT

By modulating sinusoidally the impulse frequency of the inhibitory input to the slowly adapting stretch receptor of Crustacea, the impulse frequency of the sensory neuron becomes sinusoidally modulated. The systems involved are linear for amplitudes of modulation up to 70% of the steady state frequency. The transfer function is given and some of its implications are discussed. More... »
