ABSTRACT

Bradykinin and kallidin cause a rise in pulmonary artery pressure in anaesthetized cats and guinea pigs. In the heart-lung preparation of the guinea pig bradykinin produces an increase in pulmonary artery pressure without an increase of cardiac output. On strips of ox pulmonary arteries contraction of the circular muscles was obtained with bradykinin. Phenylbutazone antagonizes the bradykinin effect on the pulmonary artery pressure of the guinea pig. More... »
