ABSTRACT

Rapid changes in climate system due to anthropogenic activities are responsible for increasing temperatures and rising sea levels, and have significant implications for socio-economic activities across the globe. There is an urgent need for appropriate adaptation and mitigation strategies to address climate change threat on different sectors including agriculture. Climate information and products at various temporal and spatial scales are needed for managing risks in agriculture and provide food security. Suitable mechanism at global, regional and national levels needs to be created for delivering effective climate products and services.
