ABSTRACT

This chapter will be focused on the latest developments in the preparation and properties of macroporous hydrogels (MHGs), and their potential for biomedical applications and separation processes. A wide variety of synthetic and natural polymers have been used for the fabrication of novel macroporous hydrogels. Their morphology could be tailored by the synthesis strategy and synthesis parameters such as initial monomer concentration, cross-linking degree, and gel preparation temperature. More... »
