ABSTRACT

Rhizobium fredii is a fast-growing Rhizobium isolated from soybean nodules (1). It is able to infect and nodulate “ ancestral” strain of soybean (Glycine soja) together with a strain originated from China (Glycine max cv. Peking). In contrast with Bradyrhizobium species it does not produce an effective symbiosis with cultivated soybean US strains (such as McCall). More... »
