In a preliminary analysis of dynamics of 77 theoretical streams associated with the short-period comets moving in the orbits distant (more than 0.2 AU) from that of the Earth and having orbital period shorter than 10 years, we found that the particles of theoretical streams of 21 comets approached the Earth’s orbit nearer than 0.2 AU and the particles of 14 of these comets could be identified with the actually observed meteors.
