ABSTRACT

This paper presents the problem of detecting and isolating faults in biological wastewater treatment plants. Depending on the specific problems to be solved and on the knowledge available on the process, model-based, fuzzy logic-based and artificial neural network-based approaches are investigated and tested on different processes.
