ABSTRACT

Chestnut blight (Cryphonectria parasitica) is a severe disease of European (Castanea sativa) and American chestnut (Castanea sativa). Antagonistic bacteria have been shown to have a potential use in the control of plant diseases [1]. This report describes our approach for screening and testing bacterial isolates for antagonistic effects on the growth of Cryphonectria parasitica in vitro. More... »
