ABSTRACT

In this chapter we briefly discuss some of the limitations to processing discrete quantum information, such as no-cloning, no-complementing and no-deleting. The no-cloning principle, in particular, has important practical implications; for example, quantum cryptography uses it to guarantee security against eavesdroppers.
