ABSTRACT

This paper presents a survey of recent results obtained from a series of analytical investigations into the nonlinear dynamic behavior of systems of centrifugal pendulum vibration absorbers. Issues related to the performance capabilities and limitations of existing and proposed designs are discussed. Specifically, we consider the performance acheived for various types of absorber paths, a subharmonic absorber, and the dynamic stability of systems composed of multiple absorber masses. A set of study summaries is offered for these topics, with details left to the references. More... »
