ABSTRACT

Chiral molecules are of great importance in nature. Most of the natural macromolecules consist of chiral monomers and are built from pure enantiomers in a very specific highly regular way. Some of the typical properties of such biomaterials are a consequence of the high stereospecificity of their main chain. Thus it is a great challenge for the synthetic polymer chemist to synthesize molecules similar to that natural building principle. More... »
