ABSTRACT

The gravitational wave basic properties and their principal sources are schematically reviewed. The performances of the resonant cryogenic antennas are illustrated and their sensitivity is compared with those of the interferometer antennas. Finally the main results so far obtained by the Rome group are briefly presented.
