ABSTRACT

In the innermost region of slim, transonic accretion disk models around relativistic compact objects, axisymmetric oscillations are exicited by viscous processes when the viscosity parameter α is sufficiently large (α ≳ 0.1). We propose that this type of disk oscillation is one possible origin of the periodic time variability in the X-ray intensity observed in a Seyfert galaxy NGC 6814.
