ABSTRACT

Measurement of the retinal blood flow even with the invasive techniques available in animal studies is difficult. The use of cine angiography reported by Bulpitt & Dollery (1970) has been widely exploited by that group of workers. The present report concerns the results obtained by two principal modifications of their technique, a faster framing rate using speeds up to 141 p.p.s. and the employment of alternative dyes, fluorescein or indo-cyanine green (I.C.G.). Additionally this work was carried out on the cat whereas DOLLERY and colleagues used either the pig or the monkey.
