ABSTRACT

We have developed a simple and fast procedure for the in-situ photopolymerization of a sol-gel monolith having a porous structure on a chip. A solution of methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane mixed with an acid catalyst, water, toluene, and a photoinitiator was irradiated at 365nm for 10sec∼1min in a microchip to prepare a photopolymerized sol-gel monoliths under an inverted microscope with a mercury lamp.
