ABSTRACT

Resonance tunneling via localized states dominates in mesoscopic systems. Then transport coefficients are determined by a single space fluctuation, are highly specific for each system, may change by orders of magnitude from system to system and be sensitive to a shift in the position of a single impurity. Non-linearity and instability may develop in very weak fields. More... »
