ABSTRACT

The title complexes catalyze the hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbons under homogeneous conditions showing considerable selectivity; the homometallic cluster fragments catalyze isomerization reactions on the same substrates. These clusters are precursors of heterogeneous catalysts, which show better activity and selectivity with respect to systems formed by homometallic clusters or by metal salts. The support material used in some experiments has a synergistic effect on the reactions by acting as a dehydration catalyst. More... »
