ABSTRACT

The superconducting materials GaSr2(Y1−xCax)Cu2Oy(≤x≤0.8, y−7) with Tc>70K were synthesized and characterized. The superconductivity above 70K was reproducible only in the multi-phase samples with x≥0.3 sintered at 1050°C in flowing oxygen and annealed at 900°C under a high oxygen pressure. The temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity for the sample with x=0.8 showed metallic behavior and a sharp superconducting transition at Tczero=65K (Tconset=78K) particularly. The x dependence of the magnetic susceptibility at 10K indicated that the Meissner volume fraction was progressively developed at x=0.8. Consequently, we concluded that Tc>70K phase was synthesized essentially in the region of x≥0.8. More... »
