ABSTRACT

Ba1−xKxBiO3−δ for x>0-28 is found to exhibit another phase of superconductivity which appears from a different heat treatment than usual, lodometric titration and ICP analyses show that this phase has nearly the same composition x and oxygen content as the ordinary one. Results of X-ray diffraction and Raman scattering are explained on the assumption that a local order of CDW present at the high temperature still persists in the superconducting phase for the rapidly quenched sample.
