ABSTRACT

Intermittent locoregional administration of BRJM and chemotherapeutics for either liver metastases or peritoneal dissemination of gastric cancer was performed. For liver metastases, partial response was observed in 4 of 9 patients and administration of BRM brought about increase of IL-6 production and decrease of NK activity in the peripheral blood. For carcinomatous peritonitis, it resulted in disappearance of cancer cells from ascites followed by decrease of ascites. In the peritoneal cavity, neutrophils were predominant for a few days after the treatment and then lymphocytes increased.
