ABSTRACT

This chapter covers assessments of hepatic vessel reconstruction using fluorescence imaging techniques with administration of indocyanine green (ICG) during liver transplantation (LT). Recent advancements in surgical techniques, postoperative management, and immunosuppression have improved the safety of LT. The intraoperative modality to survey reconstructed hepatic vessels is limited mainly to ultrasound.
