A fruitful advance in our understanding elementary particle physics has been achieved through current algebras [1]. This approach is characterized first of all by the choice of currents as fundamental quantities in describing the weak and electromagnetic interactions of hadrons. Then a very attractive suggestion follows in order to establish a bridge between the observable hadron currents and symmetry operators of the theory: according to Gell-Mann we identify the charges (associated to those vector and axial vector currents) with the generators of the SU(3) × SU(3) group *.
