ABSTRACT

We give an overview on the results from relativistic models of nuclear structure for electron scattering response functions. The quenching of the longitudinal quasielastic response in relativistic random-phase approximation is discussed for the σωρ model at intermediate and large momentum transfer. We provide an example for the density dependence of the RPA correlations which is accessible in exclusive scattering experiments. The role of the excitation of the Δ-baryon for the transverse and, at large momentum transfer, the longitudinal response function is emphasized. More... »
