ABSTRACT

Francis Crick was born on 8 June 1916 near Northampton, England, and died on 28 July 2004 in San Diego, California. He earned a degree in physics, and after World War II he began active in biology research. He became Nobel Laureate in 1962 together with James Watson and Maurice Wilkins for the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA. The second part of his outstanding career was devoted to the study of consciousness, as he held the post of J.W. Kieckhefer Distinguished Research Professor at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, California. More... »
