ABSTRACT

The genus Aralia (Araliaceae) is composed of approximately 35 species having a worldwide distribution in many temperate regions of East Asia (Japan, China, Korean Peninsula, and other areas), Malaysia, Australia, and North America. In Japan, three species are found: Aralia elata Seemann, A. cordata Thunb., and A. glabra Matsumura.
