ABSTRACT

There has been increased interest in conservative treatment of ocular tumors in general and uveal melanomas in particular, since the demonstration by Stallard and associates that uveal melanomas could be successfully treated with radiation therapy, with preservation of the eye in almost two-thirds of surviving patients (Stallard 1966).
