ABSTRACT

Am Zyklotron werden überwiegend Radionuklide mit Neutronenunterbesetzung der Atomkerne produziert. Dies bedeutet, daß die erzeugten Radionuklide durch einen Betaprozeß unter Emission von Positronen (β +) oder durch einen Elektroneneinfangprozeß (EC) zerfallen. Beide Zerfallsreaktionen sind konkurrierende Prozesse. Im unteren Ordnungszahlbereich überwiegen die β +-Strahler, im oberen Ordnungszahlbereich die ElektroneneinfangStrahler. Es gibt deshalb zwei verschiedene zyklotron-produzierte Radionuklidarten: Im unteren Ordnungszahlbereich die reinen Positronenstrahler wie 11C, 13N, 15O und 18F, im mittleren und oberen Ordnungszahlbereich die EC- oder Gemischtstrahler wie 123J, 201Tl bzw. 52Fe, 68Ga.
