ABSTRACT

As a result of emissional and absorptional measurements at various wavelengths in visible and IR-ranges of spectrum the energy contents of the main radiative transitions at the stage of formation of shock-heated jets of nitrogen, carbon dioxide and their mixtures have been defined. In the majority of regimes studied near the front of the flow there is a region of anomalously high emissivity. The obtained data analysis indicated that the character of non-stationary processes in a pulse jet besides initial shock-waves are determined by a vibrational non-equilibrium in a shock-heated gas and by an accelerated freezing of relaxation near the front line area of the jet flow.
