ABSTRACT

The layered dichalcogenides of group Vb transition metals are well known not only as suitable intercalation materials but also for the charge density waves (CDW). This instability of the electron-phonon system commonly distorts their crystal structure and changes their electronic properties |1,2|. Ranging from hardly visible inflexions on conductivity curves to metal-insulator transitions, the manifestations of the CDWs have been for years a fruitful subject of research |3|. More... »
