ABSTRACTIn the past two years we published two papers in Nature which examined the issue of whether or not putative solar-irradiance variations have influenced the earth’s observed surface temperatures during the past 130 years (Schlesinger and Ramankutty, 1992, 1994). Here we summarize the approach and findings of these papers.
