ABSTRACT

Consider a factor analysis model for a population of individuals. The analysis leading to this estimated model is assumed to be based on random observations from this population. This paper considers the following question: what is the factor structure for a subset of this population, when the subset is defined by one of the observed variables. How is the factor structure different for this subpopulation as compared to the parent population? An illustrative example is given from Maxwell(1972). More... »
