ABSTRACTThe marked predilection for the development of lymphoma in patients with Sjögren’s syndrome (SS) has been well-documented in recent years (Talal and Bunim, 1964; Talal et al. 1967; Kassan et al. 1978). In view of this fact, biopsy tissues obtained from Sjögren’s patients must be carefully scrutinized for atypical lymphoid proliferations that may prompt the diagnosis of lymphoma, sometimes before the lymphoma is clinically manifest.
