ABSTRACTOverexpression of somatostatin receptors has been demonstrated in various brain tumours such as meningiomas or glia-derived tumours. This evidence, following the clinical experience on neuroendocrine tumours, suggests that somatostatin analogues may also be of value for the imaging and treatment of the above-mentioned brain neoplasms.
