ABSTRACT

The Co-Ni-Al system undergoes a martensitic transformation from β-phase (cubic) austenite to L10 (tetragonal) martensite in a temperature range between 93 and 393 K depending on composition. Furthermore, the martensitic start temperature TMs and Curie temperature Tc can be independently controlled by the composition. TMs decreases with increasing content of Co and Al whereas Tc increases with increasing Co content and decreasing amounts of Al [1]. More... »
